 02.     SHG PROMOTION AND STRENGTHENING PROGRAMME:

The programme on SHG promotion and strengthening was undertaken observing the special criteria on formation of new SHGs and strengthening through training. The women in this century have rightly advanced to a strong leadership but some backward regions in rural areas still there are so many of them who are not eligible for the protection of their rights being financially sound. There is no entrepreneurial development and skill training for the women and they never have any group to induce accumulative effort to confront their right and the avoidance of exploitation and harassment. So we developed 120 groups and trained them on accounting and documentation. We have previously developed 50 groups and now we have 20 groups to empower them financially with the leadership opportunity to address special category of their issues and problems through different GOs, NGOs and administration. The community leaders, PRI members and the stakeholders were involved to support the programme at the time of arrangement of the public meetings, focus group discussions and the trainings.
